Dirty
coils reduce cooling efficiency and can produce
"Dirty Sock Syndrome", a condition
where odors ocurr. Air conditioning units have
to run longer to cool when coils are dirty,
so little by little, energy costs increase.
While this increase may not be noticeable for
only one or two units, dozens of units can cause
a marked increase in energy consumption.
In
all cases, periodic cooling coil cleaning helps
get the coil back to normal. But cooling coil
